My grandfather was an engineer, and when I was growing up, he would let us play with batteries, light bulbs, microscopes, and other gadgets to help us develop a more practical, hands-on understanding of the world. I had always wanted to be an artist, and with his influence, I chose to pursue the middle-ground between art and engineering: architecture. Now, the places where creativity and practicality meet are where I like working.
In my spare time, I like the meditative process of setting type and printing at Bayview Printing Co., making my own bitters, and plotting to acquire a laser cutter to make leather goods. I also enjoy running, hosting and attending dinner parties, and underwater hockey (a real thing).
