Bray Architects collaborated with the School District of Waukesha to design a reconfigured cafeteria and kitchen/servery space at Waukesha North High School. The $1.2 million renovation project began with District administrators, School board members and high school educators participating in a ceremonial wall smashing at the school in June 2018.
The remodel included a full renovation of the kitchen/servery and support space to function similar to a food court. The new design features self-serve mobile carts that allow more lunch options to be offered and create more serving lines, optimizing traffic flow and reducing serving time. Portions of the commons/cafeteria area were also remodeled with the removal of a stone wall to open up the space and the replacement of select windows and doors.
