Client Type

In partnership with the Two Rivers School District, a district-wide facility study determined needs for all district buildings, with one of the highest priorities being the middle school. The existing L.B. Clarke Middle School served the same number of students as the district’s high school but was only half the size. When 5th grade students were moved to the building, no additional spaces were added causing further capacity challenges.

We worked with the district to create additions and renovations that increased space for the cafeteria and gymnasium, as well as tech ed., art, and music spaces. Special ed. spaces were updated to address needs for these programs. Classroom space was added for 5th grade to give students their own learning environment. The existing 6th-8th classrooms were renovated to increase the size of rooms and provide space for collaborative learning.

Extensive sitework was included in the project to improve the movement of vehicles during pick-up and drop-off times.
