The District partnered with Bray to create a “like-new” Mayville High School that reflects the school’s 21st Century curriculum. Improvements throughout the building include academic spaces, sports and recreation spaces, and the auditorium.
The addition to the Mayville High School features a new Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math (STEAM) innovation center, housing a new technical education shop for woods, metals, automotive, and manufacturing instruction, an Agriculture classroom/lab, greenhouse, and Physical Education space for weights and cardio.
Renovations to modernize the music wing have transformed the previous technical education and agriculture spaces into new band, choir, and show choir classrooms and rehearsal space. A new, secure-entrance front office, student services (guidance/counseling), bathrooms, concessions to serve the gym and auditorium, and a Special Education Life Skills/Food Science classroom have been created in the existing building. Updates to previous storage rooms have resulted in larger classrooms to better support hands-on learning.
A focal point of the school, the new lobby greeting students and visitors with a large, social stair with built-in seating. This space features a large wall graphic, designed with the help of students and staff, to exhibit school pride and identity with positive characteristics describing what it means to be a Mayville Cardinal.
