Mayville High School

After assisting Mayville School District with passing a $24,500,000 referendum in April 2017, work will begin for the addition and renovation of Mayville High School in Spring 2018.

An addition to the high school will feature a new Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math (STEAM) innovation center. It will house a new technical education shop for woods, metals, automotive, and manufacturing instruction, as well as an Agriculture classroom/lab, greenhouse, and Physical Education space for weights and cardio. The high school will also undergo significant renovations. The current technical education and agriculture spaces will be transformed into new band, choir, and show choir classrooms and rehearsal space. The current band and choir rooms will then become a new front office with a secure entrance. Student services (guidance/counseling), bathrooms, concessions to serve the gym and auditorium, and a Special Education Life Skills/Food Science classroom will be created in the previous office space. Renovation of existing storage rooms will result in larger classrooms to better support hands-on learning. Science labs and lockers rooms original to the building will also be updated.

Other improvements include safety and security upgrades, such as door monitoring, secure controlled access, classroom security and interior/exterior lighting.

These upgrades will help the district create unique and innovative spaces for their students and staff to utilize on a day-to-day basis.
