In April 2018, Bray Architects supported the School District of Fall Creek in successfully passing a $12.4 million referendum that focused on the needs of Fall Creek High School. The High School wing will receive upgrades to safety and security, classroom modernization, building systems and the undersized weight room facility.
The one-story addition to the existing building will include office space; a larger weight and fitness room and new classrooms for choir and band with flexible seating and practice rooms. Collaboration spaces will also increase with the creation of a student study space, outdoor courtyard and commons area for lunch, study space and small group instruction. In addition, security cameras will be added to the exterior of the building along with a redesigned entrance that will route visitors through a regulated area in the main office.
The new improvements will not only reduce overcrowding, but they will also meet today’s security and educational needs. Design development is currently underway, and construction on Fall Creek High School is anticipated to begin January 2019.
