The Mount Pleasant Village Hall & Police Department is now officially EPA Energy Star certified! Although designed to be capable of obtaining LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) Silver certification, the Energy Star certification was performed at no cost to the Village using a federal tax credit program. This certification will be maintained for a total of three years. Buildings that earn EPA’s Energy Star use 35% less energy and generate 35% fewer greenhouse gas emissions than similar buildings across the nation.
