We are honored that The Daily Reporter selected us as Innovators of the Year for their 2022 Newsmakers awards. And we’re particularly proud of the projects and initiatives that helped us earn this distinction.

From The Daily Reporter:

For nearly 60 years, Bray Architects has been an innovator in educational and civic design. The firm has seen significant growth in recent years and is a leader in green building.

Two notable projects that highlight Bray’s commitment to sustainability are Forest Edge Elementary School in Fitchburg and the Village of McFarland Public Safety Building.

Both of those projects are designed to be net zero – meaning they produce at least as much energy as they need and consume as little energy as possible. Forest Edge has been verified net zero since September 2021, making it both the first net zero school in Wisconsin and the largest in the nation. The McFarland Public Safety Center is slated to be completed in early 2023.

These projects unite innovation with stewardship. Most of our clients are public entities, and projects need to last for decades.

“While we believe in innovating, we prefer to be on the leading edge, not the bleeding edge. This helps us find creative solutions while also being good stewards of our clients’ investment,” said Bray President Matt Wolfert.

Bray was also recognized for innovation in marketing, including our recent brand refresh. Our new logo and website showcase our committed client-first approach. It’s a unique part of our identity that both sets us apart from other firms and helps us create successful projects.

Thank you to The Daily Reporter for this honor!
