Project Details

This project began with an extensive facility condition assessment and master plan of its 20 buildings: 10 elementary schools, three middle schools, one high school, and six buildings for administration, support, aquatics, and recreation.

A successful two-question referendum followed the assessment. The district will improve safety and security, address building exteriors, and update building systems (HVAC, electrical and plumbing) at all 14 schools.

Improvements will include enhancements to school entrances and interior spaces, updates to and replacement of ageing building systems, as well as replacement of roofs, windows, and doors. Air conditioning will also be added to eight schools to enable each school in the district to provide students with climate-controlled learning environments.
