Beloit Turner Middle + High School STEAM

We partnered with the School District of Beloit Turner to update their STEAM spaces at the combined middle + high school to support the growing demand in the program.

Need: Enhance and expand the current middle + high school STEAM spaces to support the growing curriculum

Solution: Renovate and add to the existing STEAM spaces

Result: A dedicated STEAM wing with additional workshops, classrooms, and a commons area

Connecting the Space

The metal and wood shops are connected by a shared high school classroom, allowing seamless transition from classroom curriculum to hands-on learning in the workshops. In addition, a new commons area provides a flexible learning space that connects to the new fabrication and engineering labs.

The old middle and high school art rooms were renovated to expand the current high school’s weight room and increase storage for athletics.

We also worked with the district to design Garden Prairie Intermediate School, a new state-of-the-art facility down the road from the middle + high school.
