Thank you, Terry Berkovitz!

When one thinks of what it means to be loyal, the following may come to mind: dedicated, dependable and trustworthy. Here at Bray, a name comes to mind: Terry Berkovitz.

Terry has been a Bray employee for over 45 years and has exemplified what loyalty means in every sense of the word.

After nearly half a century, Terry – the loyal employee, the wise guy, the legend – is closing a chapter (more like a book) and retiring. While it will be nearly, if not, impossible to replace the depth of experience and knowledge Terry brings to our team, we wish nothing but the best for our long-time employee, and friend, as he hangs up his hardhat and puts on his ballcap.

We imagine his next adventures will include baseball, baseball and more baseball – Go, Cubs! (Insert: Go, Brewers – for nearly the rest of us). As well as hanging out with his best friend, Cash (his son’s dog). Heck, maybe he will even roll bowling balls down the streets of Kewaunee for old times’ sake.
In the words of one of our long-time engineering partners, Curt Krupp:

Terry, I cannot think of another person in the industry who has worked at the same place for as long as you have. You have seen a lot of people come and go over the years. It’s a true testament to your character to endure the changes and stay the course. You have done a lot of good things in your employment with Bray, it would be fun to know the thousands of square feet of buildings you have helped build throughout your career. Now you can be the boss and take off as many days as you want. Enjoy your retirement, my friend!

Terry, thank you for all you have contributed to our firm and team. We will miss your Chicago Blues tunes, storytelling and wisecracks, but hope you enjoy your well-deserved retirement. Congratulations!
