Architect of the Year

We are honored to be one of two firms to be named “Architect of the Year” in the 2020 Newsmakers of the Year Awards by the Daily Reporter. We have been recognized for our client-centered approach to design and our continued commitment to and excellence in K-12 design across the state.

Our success as a firm is truly rooted in our relationships with clients. Their vision to improve their districts and communities and their willingness to collaborate inspires our teams to create innovative spaces that impact all who use them.

This Newsmakers of the Year recognition also reflects the hard work and talent of our employees. Our team of specialists and experts demonstrate their passion for their work by delivering innovative solutions that meet the school’s functional needs and encourage connection and engagement.

This year, we are proud to have guided six clients through successful referendums, and to have completed many great projects with our construction partners, including Cristo Rey Jesuit High School and Oregon Elementary School. We are so honored to play an important a role in shaping educational environments, and we look forward to continuing our work with communities across the state and throughout the Midwest.

Marketing Manager of the Year

A member of the Bray team for nearly six years, Ali Nolan has grown to lead our company’s brand communications and our K-12 clients’ referendum and community engagement successes. Ali has led referendum campaigns for more than 25 clients including five that passed their referendums in April 2020. Ali’s participation and guidance in each school district’s campaign strategy and her leadership and oversight of the Bray graphics and communications team resulted in an informative, timely, and successful campaign in all five communities.

In addition to her commitment to clients, Ali has also led organizational and departmental change. This year, she has worked hard to restructure the department with the goal of creating a communications team that will better support our growth and more effectively serve our clients. The restructuring effort has created four new jobs and is designed to provide a more efficient and strategic approach to not only our brand communications and marketing, but to our client communications and referendum support services. She has recently been promoted to Director of Marketing where she can better support all roles with her expertise and experience.
Ali has shown, and continues to demonstrate, her dedication to Bray and the industry. Despite the unprecedented events of 2020, her leadership has provided a sense of confidence for our clients and focus for our company.

We are so honored to be recognized as one of this year’s Newsmakers, and congratulations to all the recipients of the Daily Reporter’s Newsmakers of the Year Award!
