Kyle Downing is a project specialist currently working on the Oshkosh School District projects. He’s always had a fascination with the built environment and sees architecture as a puzzle.
He likes working on K-12 projects especially because there are many stakeholders to consider, and they all provide learning opportunities – stakeholders are the pieces to help solve each project “puzzle.”
When asked about what inspires him, Kyle immediately thinks of the masters of modernism. “Frank Lloyd Wright is an inspiration figure for me. I got to spend a lot of time at Taliesin for a project in one of my architecture classes in college which was really interesting.”
When he’s not in the office, Kyle loves to cook all types of authentic cuisines, play video games, and can be spotted outside no matter the time of year, snowboarding, camping, hiking, and biking.
