Jeff Peck employee spotlight

Jeff Peck is an architect and delivery team leader. He heads all of Bray’s projects with the Neenah Joint School District, which include building upgrades to improve ADA accessibility, renovations to the existing facilities, and the new Neenah High School.

When asked what he enjoys most about his role at Bray, Jeff said the answer is easy: coaching and mentoring other team members. “I’m to the point in my career that the projects alone have provided me enough satisfaction, so influencing the careers of younger team members is what I enjoy most.”

Jeff traces his interest in architecture back to grade school where he loved looking at floor plans of houses. His older brother, who was in high school at that time, was taking a drafting class. He remembers how much he loved watching his brother draw.

When Jeff started high school, he took the same drafting class and followed it shortly after with his first architecture class. He was hooked.

“It was residential architecture that sparked my interest in the profession,” he says. “Ironically, the only residential project I’ve ever worked on is my own house.”

Before joining Bray, Jeff worked in Chicago on educational projects with Chicago Public Schools, and later on corporate headquarter buildings. He’s returned to working on schools in his current role, but no matter the type of project, the same thing motivates him to do great work: the people he collaborates with.

Whether it’s for his project team, the rest of the office, or his clients, Jeff always strives for the best possible service. “Opportunities to renovate or add on to their schools might be a once- or twice-in-a-career opportunity for district administrators and teachers,” Jeff says. “So, it’s really important that we are there to help them solve problems and be their trusted advisor.”

Outside of the office, Jeff spends time with his wife and children. The family splits their weekends between homes in Milwaukee and Chicago. As lifelong residents of the Windy City, they’ve enjoyed exploring over the past year what Milwaukee has to offer.
