Renovations to the Whitefish Bay Middle School library were implemented to create a more colorful and accessible learning environment. The traditional library was reconfigured into a vibrant and modern space, with emphasis put on flexible spaces allowing for movement and collaboration in the classrooms.
Sliding glass doors were added to the Discover Room to allow for a direct connection to the flexible collaboration zone. A centrally located circulation desk allows for supervision of the collaboration zone as well as the area where stacks are concentrated. The Innovation Station provides students access to high-powered computers and other technology that wouldn’t otherwise be at their disposal. Interior finishes were thoughtfully selected to bring energy and excitement to the environment while drawing from a sophisticated color palette.
