Franciscan Center for Music Education + Performance

Situated in the northwest quadrant of Silver Lake College’s main campus, the Franciscan Center houses the school’s successful music department and a 460-seat auditorium.

The facility features band, choral, piano/keyboard and computer studios, practice spaces of varying sizes, small recital areas, and a music classroom. Further accommodations include faculty offices for the music department staff and support spaces in the form of a lounge, conference room(s), and storage.

Outside, adjacent to the entry lobby, are several social and educational spaces. These areas—outdoor plazas, gardens, and open gathering spaces— act as extensions of the classroom while engaging students, faculty, and the community alike. A high level of visibility and vibrant energy establish the Franciscan Center as a hub of campus activity.
