With Bray support, the Mount Horeb Area School District passed a $38,500,000 referendum which will help create improved spaces across the district. $34,794,300 will go towards building new innovative learning environments and upgrading building systems at Mount Horeb Area High School.
An addition at the school will create new, state-of-the-art Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math (STEAM) classrooms and labs and an expanded cafeteria and kitchen space. The addition will also include an agriculture classroom and greenhouse and new academic classrooms. The high school locker rooms will also undergo a renovation that includes new flooring, upgraded plumbing, ventilation and electrical systems. Finally, the high school will also see site improvements that include roof replacement, tuckpointing and door replacement. An addition and renovation will also create a new secure entry way.
With these improvements Mount Horeb Area High School will be able to create comprehensive spaces for their students, improve security and replace outdated systems throughout the building. The addition and renovations are anticipated to be complete in September 2019.
