As part of an overall District plan, Hales Corners Elementary School received a one-story addition and renovations to its current facility in order to accommodate a growing student population and replace the oldest portion of the building, which was demolished as part of the project. The addition includes 4K and kindergarten classrooms with individual toilet rooms, an art room, special education classrooms, and collaboration space. The 21st Century Learning collaboration space is ideal for innovative learning practices and small group work.
Renovations to the existing Hales Corners Elementary School building included relocating the main entry and office with direct access from a secure vestibule, updating toilet rooms, creating additional special education spaces, and building infrastructure and systems updates. As part of the project, the site was also extensively redeveloped to improve traffic flow and safety, provide additional parking, and enhance site amenities for students.
