Edgerton’s Community Elementary School received extensive improvements as part of a larger district-wide project to enhance safety and security, address facility maintenance, improve learning environments, and accommodate enrollment growth.
An academic addition and renovations to the existing classrooms create a primary (K-2) and intermediate (3-5) school with shared, flexible learning spaces and resource areas. The new academic area at Community Elementary School also features a modern library; the former library space has been transformed into a new cafeteria. A new gymnasium serves grades K-2, while the existing gymnasium serves grades 3-5. A new interior courtyard shines natural light into classrooms and library space, and a secure vestibule addition helps control visitor access, directing guests into a renovated main office and reception area.
