In April 2015, the DeForest Area School District passed a referendum question totaling $41 million to address district-wide needs. The main component of the referendum was a new Eagle Point Elementary School.
The one-story school was built around the existing K-4 building on the same site. The phased development called for 80% completion around the existing school, followed by the existing being demolished and the new building being completed to include a new gymnasium and library.
The new Eagle Point Elementary School has a courtyard building design that includes generous classroom resource areas.
