Camp Manitowish

Camp Manitowish YMCA is an independent YMCA camp located on 320 acres along Boulder Lake. Manitowish is a resident camp for boys and girls, conducting high adventure canoeing, backpacking, and kayaking trips for teenagers, in addition to  Leadership Programs for high school-aged young adults and teachers.

The Leadership Center at Camp Manitowish provides a staging area for adventure, travel, and leadership learning for teenagers and adults. The leadership learning side of the building houses a shared office space, classroom space for 100 students, a small full-service kitchen, and can be subdivided into four classrooms of 25 students each. The main packout room for trail preparation is a large wooden floor space for 100 students to pack their equipment. Adjacent to this space is a food/cleaning room, which contains four double sinks for dish clean-up. A resource library provides leadership learning resources so students and guests can access the Internet from multiple stations. A two-story climbing wall allows a person to climb up to the ceiling of the learning center room.

Four double-unit cabins were built to house teenagers and adults for up to a week in small groups of up to twelve. The cabins include a great room, stone fireplace, bathrooms, telephone and internet access.
