Bray Architects is honored to be a recipient of this year’s Focus on Energy New Construction Trade Ally Award in two categories: Program Enrollments and Design Team Lead, Non-residential.
We are proud to be a longstanding partner of Focus on Energy, placing a high priority on integrating energy-efficient solutions into our designs. In 2019, six of our K-12 clients – eight projects total – were enrolled in the Focus on Energy Design Assistance Program.
Our team is committed to helping our clients understand the benefits of sustainable design, working with them to develop solutions that are best suited for their buildings and their communities. It’s rewarding to see the impact that sustainable energy solutions can have on education. Not only does the cost savings allow the schools to invest more in their students, but districts are beginning to see the potential to use their school’s sustainable design as a teaching tool.
This is most recently exhibited in Forest Edge Elementary, the state’s first net-zero candidate school, where we worked closely with the District to weave teaching opportunities into the building’s design—giving the next generation the tools and knowledge they need to forge a greener future.
Bray Architects continues to guide school districts, and all of our clients, toward sustainable solutions, and we look forward to the continued partnership ahead.
