Mount Pleasant Village Hall
& Police Station
Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin

The new, single story, 72,000 square foot, $13.5 million building was the result of complete programming, architectural / engineering, and interior design services provided by Bray Architects.

The building will consolidate multiple Village operations onto one site including:

• Village Administration
• Police Department
• Village Board Chambers
• Municipal Court Room
• Emergency Operations Center (EOC)
• Joint Dispatch Center
• Firing Range (shell only)

The building is being constructed on an approximately 90 acre site located near the geographic center of the Village and abutting a large Village park. In addition to the new building, the site will also house recreation/athletic fields and possibly include a public/private partnership for development of a large recreation center.

The site and building design integrate many green / sustainable features including:

• Saving of an existing wetland
• Geothermal HVAC system
• Low-flow toilet fixtures & motion censored faucets
• Carpet and rubber flooring made of recycled content
• Low VOC paints and primers
• LED (light-emitting diode) lighting for both building  and site lighting
• Daylight censored lighting controls
• Storm water bioswale which collects, detains and filters
 storm water from parking lots
• Rain-garden that will collect and filter storm water
while serving as an educational opportunity for visitors
 and citizens

Size: 72,000 square feet
