This project consists of a new, 500-cell, medium-security prison for the State of Wisconsin located on an 80-acre site. The housing units are sized to support 750 inmates with the core facilities sized to accommodate two additional housing units (another 750 inmates) in the future. The eight building institution specializes in the treatment of alcohol, drug and other special needs inmates.
The program included separate buildings for two housing units, power plant, gatehouse with tower,exercise/fitness, industry and food service, main program support with segregation unit, and vehicle maintenance and warehouse. The facility offers inmate programming that includes education, religion, AODA counseling, indoor and outdoor exercise areas, as well as prison industry activities.
