A new 46,600 square foot academic building will be constructed to the west of the main college building to house the music department and provide a multi-purpose performance space to seat up to 600.
The programmatic components of the Music Department include a 120-250 seat recital hall with stage, studios for band, choral, piano/keyboard, computer, a music classroom, small recital, and small and large practice rooms, faculty offices for the music department, support space such as storage, conference room(s) and lounge.
In addition to the building, outdoor gathering spaces and connection nodes and pathways leading from this facility to the new Event Center and the main college building will be included in this project. A vehicular drop off roadway leading from the secondary roadway to the front entrance to the building will also be included in the project.
