Waterloo Municipal Building
Waterloo, Wisconsin
This shared-use facility houses the administration and police departments for the City of Waterloo. After relocation of the fire department to a new facility, the existing building was renovated while keeping the city and police functions operational during construction.
The two departments share a common corridor which links the street to the back parking area. City Council chambers and a training room are also located within the building and are shared by both departments. The exterior design paid specific attention to the historic character of the existing downtown and supported the pedestrian-friendly area by including a public plaza adjacent to city hall.
New: 8,640 square feet
Renovation: 6,820 square feet
