Bray Awarded First K-12 Educational Design

Sheboygan, WI / August, 2009 – Bray Architects is excited to announce the award of our first K-12 educational design contract in Illinois by the Eastland Community Unit School District #308 in Lanark. The Eastland CUSD consists of three rural communities (Lake Carroll, Lanark, and Shannon) in northwestern Illinois.
Bray Architects is working with the District on a project that will add physical education and athletic space to the north end of the existing high school. The new addition will be framed on the east by the District's bus garage, on the north by the baseball field, and on the west by School Drive. The approximately 35,000 square foot addition will include:

Two (2) station competition gymnasium with bleacher seating for 1,500. The bleachers will be on all four sides of the competition basketball/volleyball court to create an arena feel

Four (4) locker rooms – two (2) physical education and two (2) team | |

3,500 square foot fitness center to house school and community weight and cardio equipment |

Shared indoor/outdoor lobby that allows access to toilet rooms and the concession stand for events in the gymnasium as well as football and baseball games |
