Oak Creek & Marquette High Earn ASID Awards!

On March 23, 2017, the Wisconsin chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) held its annual awards ceremony at Discovery World in Milwaukee, WI. The Bray design team was honored to receive a Silver Award (Institutional Category) for Oak Creek City Hall and Public Library, and a Bronze Award (Educational K-12 Category) for Marquette University High School.

Oak Creek City Hall and Public Library is located in the heart of Oak Creek’s Drexel Town Square development. Anchored by a one-hundred-foot-tall, four-sided clock tower, the building features interactive kiosks, public conference rooms, a 200-person community room, Young Adult gaming area, and garden space. Construction of the new 104,812 square foot building was completed in October 2015. The project was also recognized as a 2016 Project of Distinction (Associated General Contractors) and honored with a 2015 Top Project Award (The Daily Reporter).

Marquette University High School project was part of a phased master plan that maximized emerging trends in college preparatory environments while maintaining the rich history and tradition of the Jesuit high school. Renovated spaces include the Henke Center entrance, controlled security, campus ministry, counseling, administration areas/faculty offices, and classrooms. The two-story addition features a new academic success center, large tiered lecture hall, and collaboration areas. A light-filled vertical circulation connects the second and third floors within the addition and ancillary spaces around the stair provide beautiful options for informal gathering and study. The 86,700 square foot project was completed in September 2016.
